We are very pleased to offer this completely individual Porsche 944 Turbo Coupe. We do love our Porsches and this is possibly one of the most special ones there are. This example is 1 of 1 and was built as a tribute to Porsche to celebrate their 70th Anniversary, where one of every Porsche model was to be bought and completely rebuilt by Porsche dealers and Porsche GB to this end. According to the vendor, this example was built by Porsche GB themselves, which is backed up by the fact that the DVLA supplied older V5 states this in the ownership details. This example when new back in 1986 was originally supplied in white with red leather. Part of the 70th Anniversary specification is that all the cars are built to the highest standard using as many original parts as possible, but new parts were used if required. Every 70th Anniversary car is finished in the same colour combination of Liquid Metallic, which is a colour only available on the 918 Spyder, and with Porsche Classic fabric and a few subtle upgrades which benefit the cars. But it is only these cars that can be in this colour or to this specification making them very special indeed.

This amazing example comes with a bespoke set of paperwork produced by Porsche GB detailing the photographic evidence of the very comprehensive rebuild and the amount of man hours that have gone into it. With such highlights as 650-man hours going into the body, 128-man hours going into the engine and mechanical, and many hours going into the chassis, interior, heating and electrical systems. Then there is the parts list which makes for a long read, if you wish to, but this must run into tens of thousands of pounds. Part of the 70^th Anniversary package is having this bespoke information for your car and this 944 has it all. The vendor has even gone to the lengths of securing the bespoke T-shirt, lapel badge, fitted car cover and baseball cap that accompany the pack, which is something that usually gets lost or worn, but in this case it is all there and unused. This gives you an indication of how far the vendor has gone to get the complete Porsche experience, which will be passed on to the new owner of this amazing 944 Turbo. This coupled with the man hours probably adds up to something in the region of £130,000, maybe more. On that point, it is believed that this car was rebuilt twice by Porsche as the owner wasn’t happy with it the first time around and Porsche had it rebuilt again, so it could be in the region of £250,000. Either way, it is a spectacular car and a very rare one at that with all the work carried out by Porsche GB and their working partners. It also comes with a leather folder complete with a paint sample, interior sample, a detailed overview of the work completed and a very nice silver plaque which is unique to this car.

This is a one-off opportunity to acquire a very rare and historical Porsche. There is not and there never will be another one. Let’s not forget it is still a Porsche 944 Turbo, which is very rare in its own right before you even think about everything else it is all about. For all you serious Porsche collectors out there, this is the car you need to own, your own piece of Porsche history.
