Here we have a great example of one of Pininfarina’s finest designed cars, the Alfa Romeo Spider. This model is thought by many as the last in line of the true Alfa Spiders and that may well be the case. It is instantly recognised as a true Italian Alfa with all the romance and drama that Italian cars bring, especially when they look like this finished in true bright red with a lovely tan interior - classical. This example also has the benefit of a hard top which is both very rare and expensive so you have an all-year-round car which oozes class and coolness, and who doesn’t want that?
This Alfa has recently being living on the Isle of Man, hence it is on Manx plates. The HPi would suggest that it was originally registered in the UK as ‘H705XUC’, so it should be straightforward to re-register it again. The other nice thing is that it has a Manx MOT, which is far more stringent than a UK one, although you will have to MOT it to get it registered in the UK though.
It comes with a full and very comprehensive Alfa Romeo factory manual in a big ring binder and a selection of photographs showing recent work carried out. The vendor also informs us that it has recently had a full front and rear suspension overhaul, all parts stripped, shot blasted and powder coated, rebuilt with all new bushes, differential stripped and rebuilt with new bearings and seals, front and rear brake calipers rebuilt with new seals, pads and fittings, new clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder fitted, four new tyres, road wheels stripped and powder coated and has passed the very stringent IOM Government MOT.
If you fancy a swish Italian model this year, and why would you not, this is the baby for you. A great looking car in the right colour and probably at a price that can never go backwards. These Alfas are becoming very rare and sought after, and are probably a great investment whilst giving you a great deal of fun and increasing your coolness within your circle of friends. What’s not to like?
